Monster Mash Part 3 - More Halloween Fun!

My girls are so excited about Halloween approaching!  We have decided on and ordered their costumes, so I think, hopefully, crossing my fingers, that we are all set for the big day!  I won't spoil the surprise of what they decided to be, so I will share that info later, along with pictures!

Have your kids decided what they will be yet?

I love this idea for a little guy... a jetpack!

How stinkin' cute is that?! And, it doesn't look too hard to make!

Will you be having a Halloween Soiree this year? Yah, me neither. But, if I were, I would totally make these cutlery packets!  They rock - and they are a free printable! Yahoo!

And if I were having a rockin' Halloween party - I would totally channel my inner Martha and make one of these pumpkin coolers!

If you and your spouse are attending a costume party - here is a pretty funny costume idea!
It wouldn't be to difficult to make it out of felt...

One last idea to share with you today... a yummy Halloween snack - puppy chow!

Monster Mash Part 2 - More Great Halloween Ideas!

As I often volunteer to be a room Mom for my daughter's classrooms, I am always on the lookout for good class party games. I loved this idea - pumpkin bowling!
Just get one of those lightweight styro pumpkins from the craft store, and tape together some toilet paper rolls and make pumpkin faces on them!

How cute is this decoration? A complete tutorial is provided to help you make it!

Favorite Things Friday - Halloween Sweets and Treats

The Sweet Funky Vintage girls have been snacking on Halloween candy for a few days (okay, weeks) now. Which has made me start thinking about yummy halloween treats. I usually throw a Halloween party, since my Olivia's birthday is the week before Halloween. But, this year, we decided to take her to Disneyland for her birthday instead. The Disneyland trip wont happen for a couple of months yet, so I am starting to feel sentimental for our Halloween party tradition.
I love making fun party food, so I thought I would share some of my favorite ideas with you. Some I have tried, and some I would like to try!
Owl cupcakes - these cupcakes were on the One Charming Party blog. We did them for Georgia's class party last year and they were A-dorable!

The blog post is part of a series they shared of an entire Halloween class party - excellent ideas!

These Owl Smores were shared on the Living Locurto blog. We made these last year for Olivia's party - totally cute.

I haven't made these Witch Hat Cookies yet, but how easy are they? Keebler fudge stripe cookes turned upside down with Hershey's kisses stuck on with orange icing. Maybe I'll make a batch up, just for research sake, you know?!

And, these Strawberry Ghosts! Don't they make you want to giggle?!
Mummy Dogs are always a hit - and so easy! These are shared by Our Best Bites.

Our Best Bites also shared these Nutty Ghosts!

Favorite Things Friday - Get your craft on with free Halloween printables!

I love decorating and I love printables - so bring on the free Halloween printables!

These "Treat" letter printables are awesome! Print on glossy photo paper and create something cool like the picture below, or just punch holes and thread with ribbon and make a banner to hang from your mantle!

If you are really feeling crafty, create this beautiful banner! She includes a whole tutorial!

I love, love, love this Halloween version of the keep calm images! Perfecly simple!

If you are going to be throwing a Halloween bash of any kind - your bash will be better with these printable drink labels!

If your neighborhood hasn't caught onto the Boo-ing craze, then what are you waiting for? It is a ton of fun to ding-dong-ditch your neighbors and have them find a special Halloween treat on their doorstep!

These printable gift tags are awesome!

Are you ready for halloween?

I have to laugh as I write this post because today's date as blogger shows is 9/1/10. But, today's date is really November 23, 2009. I found the most fabulous halloween yumminess to share and I didn't want to take a chance that I wouldn't be able to find it when halloween came around again, so here it is! I scheduled this post to show up on my blog at halloween time next year!
Enjoy!

I found this great picture at Something To Do - how easy to do a little fabric banner for halloween with fabric scraps and create some great halloween pillows!

And look what she did with the fabric scraps left over from the banner and pillows? So simple it is splendid!

And for the laundry room - swoon!

I love, love, love this Pottery Barn picture.

I would love to have black feather wreaths for my front doors. I look longingly at them each halloween, but refuse to fork over the big bucks to purchase them.

So, here is the perfect answer - black tulle wreaths!

I will leave you with another cute picture from the same blog - look at that darling tree!

Halloween 2009

My girls were the 3 little pigs again this year. Georgia wanted to be a tiger, but we couldn't find a tiger costume anywhere that would fit a child over the age of 2.
So, going with the animal theme, I pulled out the pig costumes from two years ago and asked if they wanted to do that again, and they did. My wallet thanks them!

So, Chris and I were the big, bad wolf and little red riding hood.
