One of those days...

We had a fantastic holiday season with family visiting from the East Coast. One of the days between Christmas and New Year's, my parents and husband and I took the girls to Sea World. It was a lovely day, but very crowded. My girls loved the Sesame Street Playground area especially, and were more than willing to stand in line for what felt like forever, to wait for a turn on the giant bouncy they have there. The attendant would only let 6 children at a time into this bouncy for only a few minutes at a time, and we waited about 30 minutes for our turn to come up. The girls piled in and had the best time. So much fun, in fact, that Sophia refused to leave when her turn was up. I must have watched 40 children dutifully leave when their time was up. But not my youngest child. She wasn't giving up without a fight! First, Georgia tried dragging her out by one leg. Sophia howled and howled in protest. The attendant might have actually rolled her eyes when she asked me to go in after her. I discovered that this bouncy wasn't firm like any bouncy I have ever been on before. It was so squishy, I ended up having to crawl out after Sophia. All the adults anywhere around were howling with laughter as I crawled in after Sophia, and some guy nearby yelled out, "Don't worry, Mom, nobody is watching!"
I had to laugh and that just made it more difficult to crawl out and grab Sophia and crawl back out while trying to hold onto a squirming child.
Naturally, my Mom just stood by laughing and taking pictures.
