A quiet place

We all need a quiet place, don't we?

Lately, this is where my Georgia sneaks off to. It used to be a linen closet, but now it serves as overflow fabric storage. She brought in a pillow and a blanket, and a flashlight. She hides in here from her sisters and reads.

We interrupt this blog...

We interrupt this blog to show you a 7 year old - yes, she is 7 years old today. Holy Toledo Batman. How did that happen?
Just yesterday she looked like this...

her Daddy would carry her around in the diaper bag when he had to change a particularly foul stinky diaper...

what a smile...

her first bikini...

she was a vision in pig tails...

modeling for Mommy...

and she climbed across the monkey bars for the first time...

preschool...

first day of kindergarten...

becoming a daisy scout...

her first date (shouldn't every girl's first date be with her Daddy?)...

and now she is in the first grade and turning seven years old!

Oh, how I love that Georgia Grace Marie... a wonderful, delightful child and a terrific big sister! :)

First day of First Grade

You may recognize this outfit. It is the same dress that I made for Georgia to start kindergarten. She hasn't grown much, so she wore it again this year. The new outfit that I made her to start the first grade, she wore on day two!

Daddy Daughter Dance

One of the girl scout troops in our area hosted a Daddy Daughter Dance with a Hawaiian theme. Georgia and her Daddy were able to attend with her favorite neighborhood friends, Sophie, and Andie. The Dads and Daughters carpooled to the dance together.

They had such a great time!

There were crafts, refreshments, temporary tattoos, face painting, and of course, dancing. There were even door prizes. Georgia won a set of 6 drawing and painting lessons and a jewelry box. She was very excited. Chris was a little bummed that they didn't win the Wii Guitar Hero prize!

She's a Daisy!

We have joined the world of girl scouts! Georgia is now officially a daisy scout and I have volunteered to be co-troop leader of her troop. It is a brand new troop starting up and we have enrolled 12 of the cutest, sweetest daisy scouts you have ever seen! We do our first outing this weekend for World Thinking Day!
