Christmas Craft #25 - Gift Card Snow Globes

I have to admit, I almost didn't share this blog with you. I just love it so much, and the ideas are so fantastic, I wanted to keep it to myself - all mine. But, I just couldn't keep it to myself. I had to share its incredible creativity and amazing ideas with all of you!
One Charming Party is my new go-to blog for awesome ideas.
In this post, they shared a craft idea they came up with for Real Simple magazine - a creative way to gift wrap a gift card.

This is the last of my 25 days of Christmas Crafts. I hope you have enjoyed them. I have enjoyed discovering and sharing them with you. There are just so many incredibly creative and talented bloggers out there and I wish I had more time to spend just oogling and googling them! :)

Merry Christmas to you all!

Christmas Craft #24 - Printable Gift Tags

Sigh. I would love to say that my Christmas gifts are so beautifully wrapped that they are a sight to behold. Alas, they are a sight to behold alright, but not because they are beautiful!! Spending the first solid week of my Christmas break feeling terrible, suffering from a double-whammy of bronchitis and laryngitis... I guess I have a good excuse. But, I do wish my present wrapping was more Martha-worthy than they are. As they are, they have no bows, and the gift tags are sadly the tiny folded pieces of wrapping paper. But, hey, at least the sad little paper tag matches the gift wrap used on the gift itself... mostly.
In my dreams, though, my gifts have beautiful tags like these, by Eat Drink Chic.
But, we are in luck, the uber-talented Amy of Eat Drink Chic has gifted us with these beautiful gift tags that we can use! Yay!

Christmas Craft #23 - Snow Mitten Spelling Scramble

Marie of Make and Takes, has shared this fun idea over at PBS parents.

All you need is some construction or scrapbooking paper and some letter stickers and scissors - love the simplicity of that!

Just think of the different shapes you can do for each holiday!!

Christmas Craft #15 - Cookie Exchange

All of our neighborhood family gets together and does a children's gift exchange each year. This year, I am hosting, and have combined it with a cookie exchange. Living Locurto (one of my all-time favorite blogs) has some really great, totally free, printables. Just sign up for her mailing list, and you will get access to the free printables. I used them to create invitations, and inside my envelope, I included a recipe card, a lable sticker, a table tent label, and stickers for each of my invitees to use on their cookies when they attend.

Christmas Craft #14 - Gift in a can!

I found this awesome idea while blogsurfing the other day! How neat is this?? Here is the website where I found the idea.

The example shown here is a last minute teacher gift, but I am thinking that it can be done for whatever occasion you want - and how stinkin' cute will it be decorated in Christmas scrapbooking paper and jingle bells and that sort of thing!

I don't happen to have a safety can opener, but am totally willing to buy one if it means I can make this cool craft!
You use a fruit can or can with a pull tab top. But instead of pulling the tab, you use your safety can opener, the kind that uncrimps the can instead of cutting out the circle, and you use it on the bottom of the can, empty out the contents, wash it up, and stuff it with whatever you want - candy, treats, etc. Then hot glue the bottom back onto the can, and decorate it! I am thinking I might do these with my girls to give to their friends for Christmas!

Christmas Craft #12 - Yarn Ball Wreath

I am just loving all of the different wreath projects I have found for Christmas this year. I just cannot decide which one to make! Here is one more to share with you. This one is a yarn ball wreath. The tutorial is provided by Lisa at Recaptured Charm.
I think it is pretty nifty - she started with a wire wreath form - saw them at Joann's the other day - some styrofoam balls and ornaments and hot glue - LOTS of hot glue!!

This wreath is, in the words of the blogger who created it, "bananas cute"!!
